What is sheltered housing?
Sheltered accommodation aims to provide convenient and comfortable unfurnished homes designed with the requirements of older people in mind.
As a resident you can come and go as you please and enjoy privacy or companionship. You also have the reassurance of always knowing that help is close at hand when you need it.
Every scheme has a Scheme Co-ordinator linked to your home by an alarm system, so in an emergency help can be with you in a matter of minutes.
Even when your Scheme Co-ordinator is off duty you are still covered by the alarm system and a team of Area Support Co-ordinators. By using the alarm system you can contact fully trained, friendly control operators who will give you all the advice and assistance you need.
