Reporting a Repair
Housing Hartlepool is responsible for keeping the outside of your home and its basic structure in good repair. It also keeps heating systems and supply of gas, electricity, cold and hot water systems in good working order.
Most internal fixtures and fittings are the responsibility of Housing Hartlepool.
Repairs that are your responsibility
You are responsible for all internal decorations, and for keeping your home, yard or garden clean and tidy, except communal gardens in sheltered schemes where you pay a service charge.
You are also responsible for any repairs or renewals that become necessary through a lack of proper care or supervision of the premises. An example of this is windows or glass broken as a result of an accident or wilful damage by the tenant.
Any repair or replacement of fittings, extensions or alterations, which were installed by you are your responsibility.
More information is available in the Repairs Section of the Tenant Handbook
