Having your say / Getting involved
How can you get involved?
Housing Hartlepool aims to make sure that it provides good quality homes, on estates where people want to live. We can only achieve this by working closely with our tenants and their neighbours and listening to their views about how things can be improved.
Involving people is not a new idea. We have worked with local people on various estates over the past few years and have had a lot of success.
There are lots of different ways to get involved and the commitment of time is as much as you want to give.
A copy of our leaflet 'Get On Board' a guide to getting involved is available for download here. Copies are also available from our housing offices or by telephoning our Contact Team on 01429 525252
A copy of the draft Resident Participation Compact is available for download from this website.
To find out how to be involved in any of the groups below send us an email with your details
Tenants' Consultation Panel (TCP)
The panel is made of tenants and residents on our estates. They meet every month with senior managers from Housing Hartlepool to discuss issues such as:
- Rents
- Repairs
- Modernisation schemes
- Anti-social behaviour
For more information about joining the TCP contact the Resident Involvement Team on 01429 232716.
Focus Groups
A Focus Group is a group of tenants who look at special subjects depending upon the needs of the Company and issues raised by tenants. Examples are repairs, investment programmes and environmental issues. If you are interested in a particular subject contact the Customer Relations Manager on 01429 525212 and we may invite you to a particular meeting.
Customer Satisfaction Surveys
From time to time we may send you out a customer satisfaction survey asking you about a service you have received. The information you provide on these surveys is used to shape the future of our services so if you receive a survey in the post please take a few minutes to complete it and return in the reply paid envelope.
Tenant Readers Group
The Readers Panel is a group of residents who give their time voluntarily to read leaflets and newsletters and ensure that we haven't filled them up with jargon. If you would like to be involved with the Readers Group contact the Customer Relations Manager on 01429 525212 for more information.
Service Improvement Group
The Service Improvement Group is a group of residents who meet regularly to work with staff to improve the services provided to Housing Hartlepool tenants. The meetings take place in the Phoenix Centre on a monthly basis. If you would like to become involved in the SIG contact the Performance Manager on 01429 525219. If you would like to see further details on what the SIG has done to improve services and minutes of recent meetings click here.
Residents Groups
A residents group is a group of residents who have come together and are interested in doing things to improve their area. The groups work independently of Housing Hartlepool but often work with our Resident Participation Team to tackle different issues.
For more information about Residents Groups working in your area contact the Resident Partipication Team on 01429 525489.
If there is not a Resident Group in your area and you would like advice and assistance in setting one up our Resident Partipation Team will be happy to provide advice.
