New Build Homebuy (sometimes called shared ownership or part-buy/part-rent) enables people to buy a share of a property being sold by Housing Hartlepool and pay rent on the remainder. You can usually buy as little as a 25% share and up to a 75% share. The exact share you buy will depend on what is affordable to you. As a general rule of thumb, applicants will require a minimum income of £15,000 p/a and will need funds for a deposit. The combined monthly costs of the rent and the mortgage will normally be significantly less than buying a home outright.
